ribbon!

In my other post about Grandma and Grandpa camp I talked about buying a lot of ribbon. Well, I have been wanting to do a craft that involves ribbon. So one day when my friend was here we looked up a ribbon craft online and found a picture of a mini ribbon pillow...I'm not sure if we did it the way they did it or not since we didn't have instructions. We just weaved ribbon together and put stuffing in the middle and tied around the edges. We had to weave the ribbon tight so the stuffing didn't come out. At the end we put a little rose made out of ribbon on it. it took a little while but it was cute for a decorative pillow. I'm still looking for crafts to try, so if anyone knows of other fun crafts with ribbon please let me know!:)

Doll Dress

 I made this doll dress! on my sewing machine that my dad found on the side of the road. it still works and i just got it out again and found a free pattern. For me this is a great accomplishment since my mom doesn't sew:). both my grandma's do but not my mom. She says it skipped a generation:). I had a couple of problems with the sewing machine but luckily my nana was coming the next day so she helped me and then i finished it.

 My dolls bangs are messed up because i tried to wash her hair several years ago when i got her. So i tried to fix her hair in a way that the bangs were hidden.

Grandma and Grandpa camp!

This is the third year  all the grandchildren(10) go to grandma and grandpa 'camp'. Which is going to grandma and grandpa's house for a week. I don't have pictures of that because of course I forgot my camera:(. (That's just like me:) ).
Here are some things we did:

1. Make cards(my grandma has some supplies because she likes making cards + she borrowed here friends cuttlebug: which is something that imprints designs)
2. Went to Cowans Gap (a lake with a beach)
3. Played capture the flag(all afternoon of one of the days)
4. Ribbon store(pictures below of my ribbon once I could get home and take a picture)

My one of my cousins was sick so her family couldn't come till Thursday...and just so we didn't get it we left thursday night we were only together one afternoon(which is when we play capture the flag) then her family was there for a couple more days. It was sad since she was the cousin my age but I still had fun!

I got all of this for a dollar! The store is a secondhand store. the factory is in that town and all the slighty bad stuff goes here. all this for a dollar because you stuff a plastic bag with ribbon that you want from a certain section. then we had a rolling party to roll all them up. I still have more but the other picture wouldn't load, sorry!
